An ek chala fiberglass Durga idol shows Maa Durga and her whole family under one single frame, or chala. It is the classic look of a Bengali Durga Puja. We make ek chala fiber Durga idols to order in our Kolkata workshops for puja committees, temples, housing societies, homes and Bengali associations abroad.
What Is an Ek Chala Durga Idol?
Ek chala means “one frame”. Maa Durga stands at the centre with her lion and Mahishasur, with Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesh and Kartik on either side, all set against one shared backdrop. Because everything sits on one frame, the idol looks complete and balanced from the front.
Why Choose a Fiberglass Ek Chala Idol?
- Reusable: worship the same idol year after year instead of buying a new clay idol every season.
- Lighter than clay: easier to move, set up and store.
- Weather-friendly: does not crack or soften with rain and humidity like clay.
- Safe to export: strong enough to be packed and shipped abroad.

You choose the decoration and colours: gold, silver or white decoration, a painted or cloth saree, shola-style or silver-foil ornaments, and a glossy, matt or terracotta-look finish. Send us a reference photo and we will follow the style.
